From temporary role to essential team member
André Rankins joined Fibox North America seven years ago as a temporary employee. His hard work and dedication quickly became evident, and he was soon promoted to a full-time position. Over the years, André has taken on many roles across the organization, showcasing his adaptability and willingness to learn. I feel like I’m naturally good at what I do here, he says, reflecting on his journey at Fibox. He has been given lots of opportunities to build on his skills. From working in FOP, ARCA, CNC Operator, and Insert area, André has built a diverse skill set and now contributes his expertise to the Printing department - one of Fibox’s newest value-added services for custom products.
Passion for making quality products
André thrives in his role in Printing, where he has the autonomy to create beautiful, customized covers for customers. I love that I have some independence, he shares, and I’m proud to produce quality products that meet our customers’ needs. Taking on new challenges has always come naturally to Andre, who eagerly volunteers to explore different positions within the company. Prior to joining Fibox, he worked in local warehouses, and he feels that his experience here has allowed him to expand his expertise.
A spirit of collaboration and commitment to excellence
As Fibox has grown, so has André’s enthusiasm for the company. He enjoys collaborating closely with the Marketing, Operations, and Production teams to ensure that customized covers are delivered on time. Averaging 160-180 custom 8060 covers daily, André takes pride in working with some of the company’s latest equipment, often being the first to troubleshoot when issues arise. I’m on the front line, he notes, and I’m committed to ensuring quality every step of the way.
Guided by principles and supported by Fibox’s investment in training
André credits his success to the support and mentoring he’s received at Fibox. Open and two-way communication and Fibox’s investment in my skills have been a huge part of my growth, he says. His attention to detail and genuine care are guiding principles that have shaped his career. André values the family-like environment, strong benefits, and supportive colleagues that define Fibox’s culture and have kept him dedicated to his role.
Life outside of Fibox
In his free time, André spends time with his family, watches sports, practices his faith, and explores new foods, calling himself a 'foodie.' He approaches his personal interests with the same enthusiasm he brings to his work at Fibox.
