I’ve been entrusted with a lot of responsibility, and I can tell that my work is valued and trusted, Kaisa shares. She highlights the support and encouragement from her supervisor, Assembly and Logistics Manager Ville Vuohtoniemi, as pivotal in her role.
Fibox has provided Kaisa with opportunities for professional development. She is currently completing a vocational qualification in process industry through an apprenticeship program. It’s great that Fibox offers the chance to further your education and enhance your skills, Kaisa says with gratitude. The training, directly tied to her current role, is set to conclude by the end of the year.
Kaisa works closely with various departments, such as logistics, production planning, injection molding department, purchasing, sales, and quality control. She especially values the support of her colleagues. The teamwork here is excellent. My colleagues are definitely one of the biggest reasons I’ve stayed. We have a great sense of community, and that’s incredibly important, she says.
She also emphasizes the significance of her supervisor, Ville, who has been consistently present and supportive: Ville notices if someone starts to feel tired or if something is wrong, and he is always ready to help.
Working at Fibox hasn’t been without challenges. Kaisa points out that the biggest challenges have been changes and unexpected situations. Workplace changes, such as the relocation from Patamäki to Lempäälä, have been mentally draining. There have been many changes, but thankfully, the support from my supervisor has always been there, she notes.
Despite the difficulties, Kaisa is proud of her personal growth. The most important achievement has been growing mentally. I’ve learned to stay calm and realized that I don’t have to do everything myself, Kaisa reflects. She has also learned to leave work at work, taking time to unwind at home with her dog or by watching movies.
Work-life balance is crucial for Kaisa. I learned the hard way that it’s essential to anticipate your own well-being, she shares. Recognizing stress and fatigue early on has taught her to take time for herself and relax. When you start feeling tired, it’s important to take a break and recharge, she adds.
Kaisa also appreciates the benefits offered by Fibox, such as lunch benefit, and hopes the company might introduce more wellness benefits in the future.
Kaisa strongly believes in helping others and fostering collaboration. It’s important to me to help others whenever I can. I try to treat others the way I’d like to be treated, she reflects. Her advice to new Fibox employees is to practice patience, maintain a sense of humor, and build confidence. Believe in yourself and don’t be afraid to try new things.
